PALESTINE, Judaea, First Revolt, (A.D. 66-70), silver shekel, issue struck year 2 = A.D. 67-68, (14.15 grams), obv. chalice with pearl rim of ten small pearls, around in Hebrew 'shekel of Israel', 'Year two' above chalice, rev. stem with pearled bottom and three pomegranates, legend around in Hebrew 'Jerusalem the holy' (S.5629, Meshorer 151 [p.154, Pl.XIX], H.659 [121], BMC 7-9, SNG ANS 421-424). Extremely fine and rare.
