T. CARISIUS, (46 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.66 grams), obv. head of Juno Moneta to right, MONETA behind, rev. cap of Vulcan over anvil between tongs and hammer, T. CA[RISIV]S above, (S.447 [Å“90 VF], Cr.464/2, Syd.982, B. Carisia 1b). Toned, off centred reverse with several light obverse scratches, good very fine and very scarce.

Ex Antiquarius, New Zealand with their ticket. The coin is a direct allusion to the office of moneyer.
