L. MUSSIDIUS LONGUS, (42 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.99 grams), obv. facing bust of Sol, radiate and draped, rev. [L. MVSSID]IVS LONGVS above platform inscribed CLOAC with two statues of Venus Cloacina, (S.495, Cr.494/43b, Syd. 1094a, B. Mussidia 7a). Attractive grey tone, slightly off centred reverse, good very fine and rare.
