AQUILIA SEVERA (SECOND WIFE OF ELAGABALUS), (A.D. 221), silver denarius, (3.08 grams), obv. draped bust of Aquilia Severa to right, around IVLIA AQVILIA SEVERA AVG, rev. Concordia standing to left sacrificing over lighted altar and holding double cornucopiae, star in left field, around CONCORDIA, (S.7679 [Å“330 EF], RIC 226, RSC.2, BMC 184). Toned, very fine and rare.
Ex Antiquarius, New Zealand with their ticket. The Reka-Devnia (Marcianopolis) Hoard contained 81,044 silver coins including only 71 coins of this empress, most however of this variety.
