BERKSHIRE, Reading, I.B. Monck's eighteen pence, 1811 (D.6). Bright, good very fine and rare.

J.B. Monck issued a gold forty shillings or two pound piece in 1812, this by Halliday for Edward Thomason, showing a crowned bust of Alfred left. Monck was proprietor of his own bank and was MP for Reading.
