BURMA, Arakan area, Samatata Kingdom under the Khadga and Deva kings of Harikela, (A.D. 680-800), silver sixteenth unit, (0.4 grams), obv. humped bull to right, ethnic above, rev. axial pole in temple, (cf.Robinson and Shaw, The Coins and Banknotes of Burma, Chapter 3, No.3.22 [quarter unit c.1.7 grams]; cf.Mitchiner 'History and Coinage of South East Asia' No.223). Good very fine and very rare, denomination apparently unpublished.
