NEW SOUTH WALES, five shillings or holey dollar, 1813, struck on a Charles IIII Mexico City Mint eight reales, 1804, dies I/3:A/3 (Mira-Noble 1804/11; Spalding 133). Countermarks sharp and clear, central hole not fully punched out in one quarter, i.e. off centre, some dark oxidation (from burial) on edge of matrix, otherwise attractive grey toned, good, very fine and very rare, an interesting specimen with an historical provenance.
