MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.252 grams), Pella mint, issued 325-315 B..C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, **Q* under throne, to right **ALEXANDROU*, dotted border, (cf.S.6713, Price 214, BMC 214a-d, M.197, SNG Cop.710). Nearly extremely fine.
