MACEDON, Roman Province, (c. A.D. 222-235), AE 26, (12.360 grams), obv. diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with flowing hair, to right **ALEXANDROU*, rev. Alexander on horse prancing to right, around **KOINON MAKEDONWN BNE*, (cf.S.4808, BMC 121, Gaebler 501 [p.127]). Attractive brown patina, good very fine/very fine and rare in this condition, with priced ticket ($220US).

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 63 (lot 3501). Historically interesting coin, probably struck at Beroea.
