BOIOTIA, Thespiai, silver obol, early mid fourth century B.C., (0.69 grams), obv. Boiotian shield, Rev. two horizontal crescents back to back, around **Q E S PI*, all within incuse circle, (S.2457 [£85], BCD 596 [Triton IX, p.109 This Coin illustrated], Head "Boeotia" p.55, BMC 2-3, SNG Cop. 400, Weber 3317, Traite III 362). Small flan splits, minor surface roughness, small mark on shield otherwise very fine and rare.
