ATTICA, Aegina, (500-480 B.C.), silver stater, (12.178 grams), obv. smoothed shell sea turtle with row of dots down dorsal spine, rev. "windmill" [four sunken segments, wedge shaped], (S.1854, Asyut Group IVb "heavy collar" cf. 500-506 particularly 502, SNG Delepierre 1509). Well centred, very fine and scarce.

Ex J.B. Parker Collection, sold Superior Stamp & Coin Company, Los Angeles, June 2-3, 1998 (lot 6377). Asyut hoard suggests the chronology to be 500/490-480 B.C.
