LYCIA, Masikytes, League Coinage, (1st century B.C.), silver drachm, (1.638 grams), obv. head of Apollo to right laureate, hair in formal curls, M A each side of neck, rev. lyre M A either side, to right aplustre, all within shallow field, (S.5295, Troxell period IV, cf.151.9 [similar dies]). Very fine and scarce.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 79 (lot 3251) and previously from Antiquarius, New Zealand, October 1981.
