SASANIAN KING, Shapur I, (240-270), silver drachm, (4.012 grams), obv. bust to right with crown, rev. fire altar with attendants, plain shaft no dots below altar, (cf. Sellwood Plate I, No.14, cf. Gobl 23 [Pl.2, 23], M.819). Very fine and rare.
