MARTINIQUE-TORTOLA, double Island mutilations, quarter dollar, cut quarter segment, struck from a Charles IIII Mexico City Mint eight reales FM, a Martinique Moco 1797, countermarked with a Tortola type 1, 1801 punch 1a severely broken (6.62 g) (cf Pr.33 and Pridmore lot 224). Very fine and very rare (three similar in Hopkins hoard, nos 52, 53 and 61).
