MAGNENTIUS, (A.D. 350-353), AE centenionalis, Ambianum (Amiens) mint, issued 350-353, (3.61 grams), obv. bare headed draped and cuirassed bust to right, around IM CAE MAGN [EN TIVS AVG], rev. GLORIA RO[MANORVM], Magnentius galloping right spearing fallen enemy, RPLG in exergue, (S.4021, RIC 115); Decentius as Caesar, (A.D. 351-353), Amiens mint, AE centenionalis, issued late 351, (4.508 grams), obv. D N DECENTIVS NOB CAES, bare headed cuirassed bust right, rev. VICTORIAE DD NN AVG ET CAE, AMB and palm in exergue, two Victories facing each other holding between them shield with VOT V over MVLT X, (cf.S.4034, RIC 12). Both with dark green patination, very fine and nearly extremely fine, both rare. (2)
The obverse legend for the first coin is unknown according to RIC in bronze for this mint. It is only known for Lyons for a very rare gold solidus.
