DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLICE, Mounted Division, die stamped helmet plate, crowned oval rope edged strap 'Metropolitan Police' resting on a spray of laurel and oak, harp in centre. Three screw posts on reverse. Extremely fine, very rare and highly desirable.

This unit comprised of only twelve members commanded by an Inspector.
