THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachus, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.958 grams), Amphipolis mint, issued 288/7-282/1 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, within dotted circle, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, caduceus to inner left, cornucopiae on far right, to right **BASILEWS*, to left **LUSIMAXOU*, (cf.S.6814, Thompson 189, Armenak - [ANS MN 31], SNG Cop. -, Meydancikkale -). Dark grey tone with nearly full flan, very fine/nearly very fine and rare variety.
