CHINA, The Three Kingdoms, Kingdom of Wu, round cash with square hole, (A.D. 222-280), value five hundred, obv."Da Quan Wu Bai" (large coin value five hundred), four characters around, diameter 29 mm., (Hartill 11.31 [R9], Sch. 192, TFP 530]; another coin, value one thousand, four characters around, diameter 34 mm., (Hartill 11.33 [R8], Sch. 197, TFP 536]. Very fine and rare. (2)
In 220 the Han Dynasty came to an end. It was followed by a period of disunity and civil war. Division of the Han kingdom resulted in the creation of three kingdoms, being the Wei, Shu and Wu
