THRACE, Deultum, Gordian III, (A.D. 238-244), AE 19, (3.612 grams), obv. Laureate draped bust with shield to left of Gordian III, around GORDIANVS IMP AVG, Rev. C F P D around, naked Apollo standing facing to head to l., holding bow and branch resting on tree branch, (cf.S.3651, Varbanov 2896 [p.237, R4 80 Euros], Jurukova 374). Dark brown patina, extremely fine and rare.
