PHILIP I, (A.D. 244-249), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 244-249, (29.20 grams), obv. laureate bust of Philip I to right draped and cuirassed, around IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG, rev. around FELICITAS TEMP, S C across field, Felicitas standing to left, holding caduceus and cornucopiae, (S.8992, RIC 169a, C.44). Attractive dark green patination, on large medallic flan, extremely fine and rare in this condition.
