HERACLIUS, (A.D. 610-641), AE follis, Nicomedia mint, issued year 616-617, (5.508 grams), obv. standing facing figures of Heraclius in centre, Heraclius Constantine (on right) and the Empress Martina (on left), anepigraphic, rev. large M, between [A]NNO and X Phi monogram, /UI, B below, in exergue NIKO, Officina B, (S.835, DOC 163b, Berk 559). Very fine, dark patina, scarce.

Ex Ponterio & Associates, at the NYINC '07 January 12-13, 2007 (lot 1784) and previously from the Berk/England Mail Bid Sale July 12, 1989 (lot 132).
