ITALY, oval bronze plaquette 16th century, 59 x 49mm, obv. bust of the emperor Commodus with his bust to left, wearing a lion skin, as found on his coins and medallions (cf. Gnecchi plate 79, 8). Very fine, the field lightly stippled, rare.
