BALBINUS, (A.D. 238), silver antoninianus, (5.444 grams), obv. IMP CAES D CAEL BALBINVS AVG, laureate draped and cuirassed bust to right of Balbinus, rev. FIDES MVTVA AVGG, clasped hands, (S.8485, RIC 11, RSC 6). Full flan, attractive tone, extremely fine and rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics Auction Sale 79 (lot 3662) and previously from the CNG Auction Sale 35 (September 20, 1995), lot 905.
