MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 161-2, (3.172 grams), obv. bare head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around IMP M AVREL ANTONINVS AVG, rev. around PROV DEOR TR P XVI COS III, Providentia standing to left holding globe and cornucopiae, (cf.S.4925, RIC 50, RSC 519). Sharp, well centred, choice good extremely fine and rare in this condition.
