ANGLO-SAXON, Frisian or Continental Series, "Standard" type, Series D, Type 2C, heavy series, silver sceat, c.A.D. 695-740, obv. bust to right, pseudo-runes, rev. plain cross with pellets in angles, (S.839, Metcalf 158ff). Toned, extremely fine.
