WORLD BANKNOTES: A collectiom that includes notes from British North Borneo, Burma, Ceylon, Cyprus, Gibraltar, India, Malaya, Malaya & British Borneo, Fanning Island, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Palestine, Sarawak, Singapore, and Straits Settlements. Noted were the following Malaya twenty cents 1 July 1941 (P.9b) good extremely fine, fifty cents 1 July 1941 (P.10b) good extremely fine, Malta one shilling over two shillings 1940 over 1918 (P.15) very fine, Sarawak ten cents 1 August 1940 (P.25b) very good, one dollar 1 July 1929 (P.14) good, one dollar 1 January 1940 (P.23). Of special interest is a Fanning Island Plantations Ltd WWII emergency issue one pound Australian currency note No 1015 bisected as usual for use as cinema admission - one half marked one shilling in black pencil and the other half marked two shillings in red pencil. The last note is about very fine and the rest, apart from those itemised, are good - extremely fine. (81)
