EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy I, (323-283 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.378 grams), issued c. 310-305 B.C., obv. head of Alexander wearing elephant headdress to right, dotted border, rev. **ALEXANDROU* on left, Athena Alkidemos to right with spear and shield, **PA* monogram to left, eagle to right, two monograms above and to left of right field, dotted border, (S.7750, Sv.146, BMC 19, Zervos, The Alexander Mint of Egypt, Group 22 [p.98-101], SNG Cop. 146). Grey attractive tone, slightly off centred flan, otherwise very fine and very scarce.
