AUGUSTUS, as Octavian, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, moving with Octavian mint, issued 37 B.C., (3.830 grams), obv. Octavian head to right bearded, around IMP CAESAR DIVI F III VIR ITER R P C, rev. Simpulum, aspergillum, jug and lituus, border of dots, around COS ITER ET TER DESIG, (S.1544, Cr.538/1, C.91, Syd.1334, BMC Gaul 116). Slightly off-centre on obverse, otherwise fine/very fine.
