PHRYGIA, Apameia, c.76-75 B.C., silver cistophoric tetradrachm, (12.35 grams), obv. Cista Mystica with half opened lid, from which a serpent issues to the left, all within ivy wreath, rev. Two coiled serpents with heads erect; between them an ornamental bow case with strap to r., to r. a double-flute, above centre MANTI, below BIANO, to l., A**PA.* (S.5113, Kleiner in "Essays to Margaret Thompson", No. 26 (same obverse die), Series XIV, (p.127 & Pl.13,Cop. 164, SNG von Aulock 8337).
