SASANIAN, a small hoard of copper chalkous coins, mostly of the ruler Ardeshir I A.D.226-240, each of about 2 grams, obv. bust right of ruler, rev. fire altar, (cf.M.803-6), one piece on a square flan unusual and appears unpublished but possibly of Shapur I (A.D.240-271). Some in need of conservation, otherwise very good - very fine, all rare. (28)
