CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 213, Rome mint, (3.444 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT, rev. Providentia standing facing head left, holding wand over globe and sceptre, around PROVIDENTIAE DEORVM, (S.6879, RIC 227, RSC 529). Extremely fine.
