BRITISH WAR MEDAL 1914-18, 1001 Pte D Alberts. A.N. & M.E.F. Impressed. Nearly very fine.

Pte Alberts was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He joined the Australian Army Medical Corps and served with A.N. & M.E.F. in Rabaul, German New Guinea for 6-months from 20 November 1915 to 28 March 1916. He was discharged in Sydney with reason given as 'Services no longer required' although Lt-Col L.C.Strangman gave instructions to give him an 'unsatisfactory discharge'. The British War Medal 1914-18 is his sole entitlement. Ex Tom Hanley Collection.
