ROYAL HUMANE SOCIETY OF AUSTRALASIA, award medal in bronze (38mm) to Stuart / Austin / 12.4.34. Engraved. In damaged case of issue which bears recipients name and date of the brave deed, all in gold blocked letters. Extremely fine.

Together with the award certificate rolled up in a special leather wrap gold blocked with the Society's name. The certificate states, 'Stuart Austin / Brighton (Vic.). Railway Employee, aged 21 years, in rescuing Mrs J.Boothman / from drowning at St Kilda on the night of Apl. 12. 1934.'
