BRITISH EMPIRE GAMES 1950 NZ, silver medal (63mm) by M. & K. Ltd N.Z., engraved on reverse "Wrestling / Welter - Weight / J.C.Little / Australia"; Amateur Boxing and Wrestling Union of Australia, silver medal (56mm) by Stokes Melb., engraved on reverse "1949 / Winner / Welter Weight Wrestling." First medal has an edge bump at ten o'clock and a few tiny rim nicks and the second medal has a very small edge bump at ten o'clock. The first medal scarce. Nearly extremely fine.

1950 was the last time the Games were held under the title, British Empire Games. John David Cobaine Little, a Victorian, represented Australia in 1950 in the wrestling - Men's Welter Weight Division and it is believed that his son, by the same name, represented Australia in the 1962 Commonwealth Games, without success, in Wrestling Men's Featherweight Division.
