SMEATON SPRING HILL & BULLAROOK AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION, 1861, handcrafted medal in silver (45mm) by (J.T.Sleep, Goldsmith & Jeweller, Lydiard Street, Ballarat), silver disc enclosed in a deep stepped frame with ornamental swivel suspension and bar, obverse, with a high relief cast overlay of wheat sheaves and plough and engraved around 'Smeaton Spring Hill & Bullarook Agricultural Association / April 10th 1861', engraved on reverse 'Salt Butter / 1st prize / Awarded to / Mr John Allen / Bullarook'. Extremely fine and rare.
