PRESENTATION SHOVEL, sterling silver blade and handle with a wooden shaft, face of blade engraved 'Presented to / Hon.J.G.Latham K.C. / M.H.R. / to / Commemorate / The / Turning of The First / Sod / of the / Kyogle-Brisbane / Railway / June 23 1926', back of blade engraved 'Manufactured & Donated / By / S.J.Nunn & Son / Kyogle / stg silver'. Together with custom made case with blue silk and velvet lining, makers label attached 'S.J.Nunn / Practical Watchmaker / Jeweller & Engraver', and two photos of the ceremony. Extremely fine and a rare item by a New South Wales provincial silversmith (Kyogle).
