CHINA, Western Zhou (Chou) Dynasty, State of Qi, round cash with square hole (350 - 300 B.C.), Pre-Qin type (Qi united China in 221 B.C.) "Ban Liang" (half ounce), two long characters either side, diameter 42 mm, (31.8 grams), (cf.Hartill 7.6, cf.Sch. 79, TFP 388, Pl.46]. Very fine and very rare.
