ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Rome mint, undated issue, (2.366 grams), obv. laureate bust of Elagabalus draped to right, around IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, rev. around SACRED DEI SOLIS ELAGAB, Elagabalus standing to right, sacrificing out of patera over lighted altar, holding club upwards in left hand in right field a star, (S.7542, RIC 131, RSC 246). Good very fine.
