COOK DISTRICT PASTORAL AND AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY, in silver (38mm) by Amor, reverse inscribed, "E.G.Earl / Blood Mare / 3 yrs / 1895". Several edge nicks otherwise very fine and rare.

This is the same Cook portrait punch as used on the Federation Medal 1901. A similar medal in bronze sold at our November 1990 Sale No. 34, lot 690, realising $440. The recipient of the medal now offered, E.C.Earl, was elected as Chairman at the first meeting of the Cairns Harbour Board on 28 February 1906.
