BANK OF NEW SOUTH WALES, engraved copper printing plate for five pounds Victoria, Mount Alexander Agency 15(5-) (MVR type 6b; figure 75, page 77). Very fine, very rare and historically important.

Mount Alexander was was near Castlemaine and the notes were used as payment for gold from the gold fields.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price.
