MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.00 grams), "Babylon" mint, issued 325-323 B..C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, Nike flying to left on left, M below strut, W**F* monogram above strut, to right **ALEXANDR[OU]*, (cf.S.6713, Price 3625, BMC 3625a-b, M.687). Very fine.
