THRACE, Deultum, Tranquillina, wife of Gordian III, (A.D. 238-244), AE 23, (5.825 grams), obv. Tranquillina draped bust to right, around SAB, TRANQVILLINA AVG, rev. Demeter to left, wearing chiton, holding sceptre and corn ears, around COL FL PA C DEVLT, (cf.S.3810, BMC -, Jurukova "Die Munzpragung von Deulton", [Berlin 1973] No.388 [p.122, Pl.23, 388]). Dark green patina, very fine and very rare.

Jurukova knew of only three examples two being in private collections.
