ANONYMOUS SERIES, AE semis, (91 B.C.), (6.25 grams), obv. Saturn head right, S behind, rev. prow to right, ROMA belowe, S before, (cf.S.901, Cr.339/2, Syd, 679a, BMC 2196); AE quartuncia, (217-215 B.C.), (3.41 grams), obv. Roma head right in crested Attic helmet, rev. prow of galley to rught, ROMA above, (S.624, Cr.38/8, Syd. 110, BMC 169). Fine/very fine; very fine. (2)

The last coin was the smallest denomination of the early Roman Bronze coinage. It was produced only briefly from 217-215 B.C. This experimental quartuncia ceased and was never again issued.
