VESPASIAN, (A.D. 69-79), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 78-79, (3.402 grams), obv. laureate head of Vespasian to left, around CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG, rev. Annona seated to left holding bundle of corn ears on lap, ANNONA AVG around, (S.2280 [?65 VF], RIC 131b, RSC 30). Very fine and scarce.
