TITUS, (A.D. 79-81), silver denarius, Rome mint, issue of A.D. 79, (3.42 grams), obv. IMP TITVS CAES VESPASIAN AVG P M, laureate head to right, rev. TR P VIIII IMP XIIII COS VI P P, Venus standing right her back turned towards spectator holding helmet and transverse spear and resting on column, (S.2507, RIC 9, BMC 9, RSC 268). Very fine and very scarce.

Ex CNG with their ticket. The reverse is copied from a coin of Octavian. The Reka Devnia hoard of 88,044 silver coins contained 431 coins of Titus but only 18 of this variety.
