CONSTANTINE I, as Caesar, (A.D. 307-337), AE follis, Cyzicus mint, issued A.D. early 307, (9.07 grams), obv. laureate head of Constantine to right, around F L VAL CONSTANTINVS NOB CAES, rev. around GENIO AVGG ET CAESARVM NN, Genius standing to left, holding patera from which liquid flows and cornucopiae, KE in exergue, star in right field, (cf.S.3833, RIC 26b); Galerius Maximian, as Caesar, (A.D. 305-311), AE folles, Cyzicus mint, issued 306, (8.50 grams), obv. GAL VAL MAXIMIANVS NOB CAES, laureate head to right, rev. around GENIO AVGG ET CAESARVM NN, Genius standing to left, holding patera from which liquid flows and cornucopiae, K**G* in exergue, (S.3752, RIC 24a). Brown patina, very fine; extremely fine, both rare. (2)
The first coin a rather rare type struck with Constantine the Great as Caesar.
