IONIA, Ephesos, (c.540 B.C. Karwiese dating), silver drachm, (3.540 grams), obv. bee with tendrils, volute in upper fields, rev. quadripartite incuse square, (cf.S.3517, SNG Von Aulock 1826, Karwiese Group VI). Off centred on obverse, very irregular flan, otherwise good very fine and very rare.
