GROUP OF ELEVEN: 1939-45 Star; Atlantic Star, clasp "France and Germany"; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45; Poland, Silver Cross of the Martial Order of Virtuti Militari; Poland, 1920 Cross of Valour (War Cross); Poland, Gold Service Cross with swords; Polish Air Force Active Service Medal; Chevalier of Cross of Merit for assisting Polish Resistance Fighters; Poland, Cross of Freedom and Independence; plus Poland, Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. All medals unnamed but attributed to Ivan Holwell (ex RAF) as per accompanying certificates. The first ten medals are swing mounted, the last medal is a neck badge, extremely fine.

Together with additional unofficial awards; Commander of the Sovereign and Royal Order of the Piast; Chevalier of Star of Peace; Interallied Distinguished Service Cross A Class of Interallied Military Organisation Sphinx 1939-45; Commemorative War Medal of General George S. Patton; Combatants of Europe Cross (2); Victory Cross; Allies Cross; Medal of Europe (Green); Medal of Merit (bronze); Veteran's of King Albert 1st; French Liberation Medal; Gen Wladyslaw E. Sikorski Medal; Arctic Campaign Medal; a spare crossed swords clasp for Cross of Freedom and Independence; miniatures for all medals except Order of Polonia Restituta and extra for Allies Cross and Combatant of Europe Cross; a quantity of ribbons including neck ribbons; certificates for many of the awards named to Ivan Holwell. All medals except the first four Imperial WWII awards have been issued in the 1980s and are mostly privately issued medals.
