MEMORIAL PLAQUE, WWI (2), to brothers, one named to George Hewish Logan, the other to Thomas Stanley Logan. Pierced at top and affixed by screw into individual fitted, circular frames, otherwise extremely fine. (2)
528 Pte George Hewish Logan, born at Canterbury, NZ, Enl.22Mar1914 into A.I.F., served in 2nd Bn, KIA 08Aug1915 at Gallipoli in the charge at Lone Pine. Pte Thomas Stanley Logan, born at Canterbury, NZ, served in Canterbury Regt, NZEF, KIA 07Aug1915 at Gallipoli. He is honoured on the Chunuk Bair (NZ) Memorial. A rare pair of memorial Plaques to brothers killed at Gallipoli within one day of each other.
