JAPANESE MIDGET SUBMARINE, a piece of black bakelite with attached label, "A Guaranteed Souvenir / from the / Japanese Midget Submarine / Sunk in Sydney Harbour / Sunday, May 31st, 1942", dated July 30, 1942, proceeds to R.A.N.Relief Fund & King George's Fund for sailors; three souvenir postcards relating to the same event all dated 30th July 1942, Serial No.2, "Complete Japanese midget submarine", another from Serial No.2, "Torpedo tubes of Japanese midget submarine with caps in position", and Serial No.7, "Centre section of Japanese midget submarine". A few spots on front of first postcard and some rust spots on the label otherwise very fine. (4)
